Ready for the latest brouhaha. Are you sitting down? Interim Austin police chief Brian Manley said that dead Austin bomber Mark Anthony Conditt made a 25-minute video “confession” on his cellphone explaining how he built seven explosive devices. But that's not all.
“Having listened to that recording, he does not at all mention anything about terrorism, nor does he mention anything about hate,” Manley said in a news conference Wednesday. “But instead, it is the outcry of a very challenged young man talking about challenges in his personal life that led him to this point.”
As you can imagine, the usual suspects report that had this sicko killer been black or brown, no courtesy to his troubled and challenged status would have been proffered. Puh-leeze.
