First, he supports banning all guns in his country, because "nobody needs a gun". It's easy to get a knife because, if nothing else, everyone has kitchen knives. So then people start using knives to murder people. Of course, knife crime goes up. So now they want to ban knives, or make it harder to use them to kill someone by making them dull (As if people couldn't possibly sharpen a knife), and he says, "people don't need to carry knives". If you want to kill someone, you're not going to care if it's illegal to carry knives. You're going to go into your kitchen and grab one anyway. If they make all knives dull (then how the hell do you use it for cooking?), then people will move on to something else. What if people start using vehicles? Ban vehicles? What if people move on to screwdrivers? Ban screwdrivers? What if people move on to hammers? Ban hammers? You can't just keep banning the tool being used. That's not fixing the actual problem. The people are still going to be there, and they will keep finding something to use to kill someone if they want to kill someone. They can't keep pretending that the problem is the tool being used, and ignoring the people who are using the tools."
